D3.js 10th Anniversary!
D3.js is 10 years old already. To celebrate, we prepared multiple events and some new tools for the community, like this website, a newsletter, a Youtube channel, an official Twitter account, etc.
The first event was a Celebration kick-off on Feb 17. You can watch the video on our new Youtube channel or right below. We had some fun dicussions in the chat. You can read the transcript here. Thanks to our speakers and contributors, listed under the Youtube video, as well as to our sponsor ObservableHQ.
- Ian Johnson talked about the D3 community. You can read his summary here.
- Christophe Viau presented a personal timeline of early D3 events, the first talks, tutorials, books, meetups, release, gallery, etc.
- Mike Bostock gave us a series of insightful lessons learned from 10 years of maintaining D3.
- Shirley Wu and Seemant Kulleen kicked-off the d3.parade project.
The event inspired some very nice blog posts like the one collected in this Observable collection: D3 turns 10. We also made an intro video to congratulate the D3 community.
Thanks for watching, reading, collaborating and for being part of this great community.
